Periodontology is a field of dentistry that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of periodontal tissues, including gums. Correct hygiene habits, such as regular tooth brushing and interdental cleaning, are crucial in maintaining healthy gums. Periodontology aims to maintain the health and function of periodontal tissues and, consequently, to maintain a beautiful smile and well-being on a daily basis.

The most common periodontal disease is periodontitis

Periodontitis occurs as a result of excessive accumulation of tartar, which is deposited in the gum pockets and on the surface of the teeth, leading to inflammation of the periodontal tissues.

Untreated inflammation leads to weakening and bleeding of gums, tissue destruction, hypersensitivity, and in extreme cases even to loosening of teeth or even their complete loss. Bacteria growing in the gum pockets may also cause an unpleasant breath odor. Periodontal disease is a disease that can be prevented by regular and thorough brushing of teeth, removal of tartar and systematic visits to the dentist in order to detect and treat inflammation of the periodontal tissues early.

We take care of the condition of your teeth and periodontal tissues by performing effective treatments, such as removal of supragingival and subgingival calculus, open and closed curettage, gingival plasticity, rinsing of periodontal pockets and regeneration of gums using specialised preparations. Our treatment stops the progression of the disease and ensures the long-term functioning of natural teeth.

Prevention

Regular check-ups are the simplest method of effective prevention in the case of periodontitis (recommended every 6 months for adults and every 3 months for children)

A graduate of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, from which she received the Rector’s distinction for the Best Student. She specialises in periodontology and is a former academic lecturer at the Department of Periodontal Diseases and Mucous Membranes of the Medical University of Silesia.
Member of the Polish Periodontological Society and European Federation of Periodontology. Participant of numerous courses and conferences in the field of mucogingival and periodontological surgery.
Author of scientific papers presented, among others, at EuroPerio9 in Amsterdam.
In her work, she focuses primarily on comprehensive treatment of periodontal patients: patient motivation, functionality and white and pink aesthetics.
In her free time, she flies paragliders and actively explores both the farthest and closest corners of the world.
